    I once worked with a fellow who blew half of his thumb on July 4. He also came very close to losing an eye. Seems when the blast went off his arm came up and his shortened thumb hit his eye. Nasty.

    Last night a few miles from me a 32 year old man died lighting off fireworks . News hasn’t released his name yet but the Clayton Township police said he died of severe head injuries .

    Add to that list the 41 year old from South Carolina. Same severe head injuries but more so a self inflicted/avoidable type of accident.

    The 32 year old in the L.P. may have saved others from injury as he up righted a mortar tube that had fallen over; according to the news release.
