    One of the owls I enjoyed listening to the other evening (the night of the northern lights) decided to perch in a tree outside my open window early this morning.

    That has happened here before but they were screech owls. WOW ! That was a real eye opening experience at 3am.

    The Hoot owls were going crazy the other night, it sounded like a zoo/jungle when all that calling was going on about 10:00pm. They at least have the decency to stay a 1/4 mile or so from the house.
