That picture reminds me of why we quit having a garden a few years back, although it was deer that would decimate it seemingly overnight. Built fence around it, used motion activated sprinklers, human hair, bar soap, everything that I could find. Nothing was going to work but a 8 foot tall fence. So now I'm extracting my revenge each time I take a package of venison out of the freezer and start up the grill :smoke:

We eventually found a 5' fence worked, but during summer we tied a plastic grocery bag to the top of each fence post. It worked.

Forgot to add that we tried flagging tape, aluminum pie plates, electrified fence, everything! Even an internet suggestion to put up 40 lb. monofilament that supposedly would scare them off because they couldn’t see it and would walk into it. Oh, even those “red eye” gizmos mounted on all corners supposed to deter wildlife. Some of the systems we used all together.

I know the feeling man. I haven't had a garden in 6 years because of them. When my big German Shepard was still alive, I didn’t have a deer problem.

Here’s one picture of 8 of the long legged yard wild stock. Sometimes as many as 12-15. This is in side pasture and garden used to be on this side of the 3 board fence was about 75’x150’. You could not really legally kill enough to make a difference.

They come right up to our front porch and eat the leaves off the bushes.

Yes, we have the same issue but mostly at night. The only foundation shrubbery we have now that’s not been eaten they don’t like.

My wife took me out to dinner for my birthday. There was a plaque on the wall in the men's restroom that said
" Never laugh at your wife's choices, You are one of them.
