Sir, drop the chainsaw and step away from the log!!! Turns around with hands in air...... Brad.....is that you?
Oh good! Thank you for clarifying that I just noticed that its not "wood girl" its "word girl" So thats not me next to her then!
I think the 2 buzz saws should tag team on the area woodpiles there. Get it before someone else does. Sometime 1+1, can be more than two.
Ive PMed him and we live very close to each other. Trust me, im looking forward to going hoarding with him. Hard with busy schedules, weather, life etc. I have some scores that i dont want/cant do alone. BIG oak.
Ms. buZZsaw happened to see those pics and i got in trouble. "What kind of wood forum is that"? she asked.
It varies a lot on how the logs are shaped when the locust gets big it has the misshapen trunks and iget a lot of large slabwood sometimes 50 percent of a logs size but if i get a nice even log you end up with more bdft than the log even scaled for lumber and you end up with 4 thin slabs off of that log plus the board flitches the other thing that throws you I have had a perfect looking log and took a couple of boards off and hit large cavity in log and could not use basically lost the whole log that is just the problem with sawing locust but at least it makes good firewood JB
Hey Brad , didn't forget about you. I have just been so busy I have had no time to do anything besides work and chores around the house to keep the roof on. Crazy lately and everything else you mentioned thrown into the mix certainly hasn't helped. Hopefully sooner than later we can get together. I do have a log dolly ( giant hand truck ) if you need it to grab the locust wood. You could park in the driveway for the fab shop across the street and cart it to there. Probably the closest you could get and park in a safe spot
Thanks. No worries about getting together. I have a hand truck, but have never scrounged with it. Ill end up either cutting it there ot flip flopping it to the truck, parking either across or up the street from it.
