Is that a private transportation department or is that a government surcharge?

In 2008 in CT, diesel was over $5.25 per gallon with oil at $148/barrel.

We had to raise our LPG price $0.10 yesterday… can’t give gas away… not a good business plan.

Well, here we are just about a month later and oil has expectedly hit $100/barrel. As of today the price per gallon of home heating oil through my usual supplier is $3.56. I had dire predictions last winter of what was to come, and although it hasn't gotten as bad as I had fretted (yet) we're not done feeling the effects of... decisions made outside of our control.

$3.56 yesterday morning turned into $3.74 today. I checked last night and I have a little less than half a tank left, which will carry me through until the fall. The burning question is (pun intended) do I buy more now anticipating that when fall comes, the prices will be exponentially worse, or do I embrace the pipe dream that prices will improve by then?

3.89 for heating oil at the place I go by daily. They stopped posting a lp price years ago when people got pizzed off that the price advertised is not the price on the bill!

I thought $3.74 was bad this morning, but this evening I see it was jacked up to $4.10.

Time to add to this thread. Down the road it’ll be useful to have a digital trail left behind documenting how fast things unraveled. When I woke up this morning it was $4.60. By the time the stock market opened at 9:30 it jumped to $4.70 and stayed there all day. As of right now it’s at $5.20/gallon.

Can hardly wait to see what it cost me for them to deliver 120 gals of propane yesterday. Last fill was 4/2/2021 so that is 11 months of DHW and 3 mnths of pilot light for the boiler.

My boss got propane on Monday & paid $2.75 a gallon. I expected it to be higher since she only has a 120 gallon tank & only gets it twice a year.

Last time I bought home heating oil was Jan 3. Price was $2.96/gal
    Today’s price: $5.40/gal

This morning as I put gas in the car. Price was 4.19/gal. As I went inside to pay, there was a short line waiting to pay. They told me that the delay was because the guy behind the counter was in the process of raising the price (up to $4.29) [small victory, I got the gas at 4.19] So, by me, the price has gone up about $1/gal in about a month.

$5.50/gallon is what my bill is for. $660 for 1.20 gallons. Fortunately that will last a year.
