Can't recall my last frozen pizza , so it's been a while.

    We make our own.
Making the dough is so easy and so much better. Also gives the option of throwing together a quick calzone on occasion as well.

Homemade pizza is the best even if its a simple one, friend of mine says some of the best pizza he ever had was when he was a kid, the one in a kit "Chef Boy Ardee" or something like that. His mom made it special with cut up hot dogs on it, it dont get any better then that.

Don't be afraid to cook a pizza on a smoker. We put a couple red barons on my friends traeger last summer, not bad at all.

After starting this thread I started thinking about making my own wood fired pizza oven. Didn't realize what a friggin project this would be. After doing research has to be a dome style all has to be firebrick and or refractory cement. Watched several YouTube videos. People building them on workout ball looks like the most economic way to build. I even went and looked at pre made ones online till I saw the price. Also 1 thing I can't get through my thick head is why they don't make a rear clean out for ash. The only thing I can think of is they can't get a good seal and loose to much heat. If I can remember right when I was in Diesel mechanic school in Colorado at pizza place I worked at oven was at 550 degrees not 800.
Next leads me to just start them in my Bradley smoker get some wood smoke in them and finish them in high heat in the inside oven.

I can vaguely remember this as well. If memory serves me correctly it used to come in a box as a kit. A bag of premixed flour for the dough that you just added water to , small can of sauce and a cheese package. More of a biscuit dough than a pizza dough.
Don't know if such a thing still exists today.
Probably went south with Tang and Tab soda. About the same time frame.

I've been a fan of tombstone for decades. Until recently (last 2 years or so) I don't know if they've changed their crust or what, but it isn't worth the $$…..IMO. But, I still buy them-only when they are on sale. :picard:

This one has been on our list for some time now. Not too bad.

And when we are near a dominos, 99 likes to get a spinach and feta.

You might think about getting hold of fishingpol for ideas on an oven. And Jon makes some great pizza.

I’ve been on a “Wild Mikes Ultimate Pizza” kick. They were on sale for $5 so I gave it a shot and the whole family were big fans. It fed our family of four comfortably and even a enough left over for lunch for the little ones.

I have trouble finding boxes of regular Spic and Span. That stuff is a great all around cleaner, smells good and a small amount goes a long way!

My brother and parents ran a store. They had a deli in it. Wonderful sandwiches and pizzas. They made their own pizza dough, sauces, shredded their cheeses etc. If you got a pepperoni pizza, no part of the pizza had an open spot not covered. Their loaded pizza had to be twice baked. So for me, saying a frozen pizza is good is like saying Taco bell has good Mexican food or trying to pass off instant coffee for real coffee. Pizza is so easy to make unless you just don't want to deal with it. Make up a few few and freeze them for later if you want the convenience of grab and bake off.

Did you see the price of the original Spic and Span 28$ a box. I guess I’ll try the new stuff. I liked washing walls with the old stuff.

Na didn't look. I don't do walls. Lotta wall paper. 3 rooms have vinyl siding like kitchen,, hallway from kitchen to bathroom, and bathroom. I really like using the magic erasers. Also stove top and countertops. Just about everywhere. Ah can't forget doors.
