    Remember the older style matchbooks? I think maybe the safety police (Nader?) had something to do with witching the striking portion over to the opposite side. Man, everyone was giving these things away by the handfuls!

    And legit wooden matches?!?
    The paper ones these days aren't worth a dink.
    Even the chinamart wooden ones aren't all that great....the match sticks are non combustible materials 1mm below the head!

    I had a hard time finding an image of the paper matchstick in the non-safety matchbook. Those are wood matchsticks obviously, but not exactly what I wanted to show. I just wanted to show the placement of the striking strip.
