That’s some of the best looking fried chicken I’ve ever seen. Perfect color.

Not positive SKEETER McCLUSKEY , but it sure made a nice color and good crust of crispy. It’s a kind of “soft” and even crispy, if that makes sense. It’s not like big hard chunks like someone rolled it in grape nuts cereal hahaha, I’ve had stuff like that not a fan!

I’m making some tonight. I’ll try some with and some without and report back!!!

Jury says...... go with the tater flakes! It adds some great texture rather than just being a flat crumbling crust. My wife, myself and our 4 year old this was all that was left of 12 pieces. Two breast pieces and a drumstick. I love the wings and thighs myself. 71CB5F7F-2D4F-4C43-8E49-DB8E955E1998.jpeg

Tried to make a batch, went 3 days with the chicken in the frig so the wife just did her shake and bake thing. I was all done under from trying to treat the thick ice in the driveway and on our ramp. I think I give it another go maybe this weekend as long as I don't need to mess with the ice again. Don't leave the taders out unless you want the ordinary.
