There was someone who says try marking 22 inches on your log splitters splitter channel where the spud meets the log. Just measure from the foot to 22 inches and square it. Then you know where to stop. Make some other measurement lines in case you have other things to split like kindling or something. Helps to know how big the log is before you split and not need to carry a tape measure.

Actually there is a way to change the return position, at least on some.

Can't win for loosing the Poulan wild thing not running right I think the fuel line is leaking air or something must have pinched it putting it in.

Shed base is done have to roof it to have a storage for the splits, no sense in double handling so can't split, can't cut, too wet to finish the shed. You'll have days like this lmao maybe drink a beer later and think about it.

Depending on when those mat logs were cut and put into service, an 8x8 split may take a while to dry. If it were me, I'd split each one into 9 pieces...

Hit 'em with a moisture meter. At least then you'll know your starting point..

wheelin1 you could help others by using the "thumbnail" selection when posting pictures rather than just uploading them only. They show as "attached" and sometimes take a long time to load. Just a little hint.
