Free wild cherry wood

    It's important to me that our boys help. Character building is what I like to call it.

    Ive got about 2 cords so far of oak, maple, cherry, and dogwood. I'm really trying to start our 3 year plan but it's always hard to do in the beginning.

    Don't be afraid to get some softwoods(pine)if they come easy and close helps you through the shoulder seasons and lets those hardwoods season longer.
    You're going to like the Dogwood when it comes up in the pile;) needs 2yrs from green - and don't leave it in rounds!

    Someone put up one of those quizzes where you name that tree and there was pin cherry and wild cherry, I have both in my yard, I had to cut a few down to make room for my wood shed. The pin cherry has the bark that looks a little like birch and isn't as good in the BTU department as the wild cherry but I burn it all.
