I didn't get a chance to cut up that huge round because my tree guy told me to show up at the job and cherry pick (heh get it?) some cherry, black locust, and norway maple logs that were already cut to 4'. Ended up taking two truckloads home and gave a few logs to the new wood chopping neighbor and bucked them up for him. He doesn't have a chainsaw or any PPE yet, or even steel toed boots. But I did ask the DPW guys to see if they can get some logs they pushed all the way up the pile back to the front and down on the ground.
I did ask the guy once at the dump to do that as there was some BL partly buried up high and i grabbed what i could. He got busy and couldnt do it!
