    Looks like a bigger version of what I cleaned off my buddies house this summer...
    Consensus here was Siberian Elm..... Based on the bark I see, and the streaking on your bark.....

    Fairly certain that's red elm. My first full year at my current place we burnt a lot of white elm. Standing dead and it was nice and bone dry, burnt nice and warm and I didn't get any ash blocks. Actually less ash from it then hemlock and pine. Unfortunately I don't have anymore.:(

    I think the old didier we have is only 15 ton. It works fine on elm.
