Understood, and no offense intended. I have no issue with responsible drinking. I spoke inaccurately; I should have said "alcoholism", which is what I really meant in the context of the conversation. When I was younger I would drink occasionally, like most young adults, but my father-in-law was a persistent alcoholic and after a couple of years of being around him I gave it up almost completely. I'll still have a drink or two on vacation or some such thing, once in a while, but I have no desire to overdo it since I've seen the aftermath and the devastation on families first hand. I do apologize for coming across as too judgemental.
Nah, you were fine, and correct. I do over-indulge, but I still have priorities. It's when people get their priorities wrong that the problems begin.
ok, here's another one. I agree with the overly perfumed air. I however think that very powerful cleaners used in unventilated areas is by far a greater hazard. Like many holiday traditions, lighting candles and fireplaces is best done in moderation I know it's from the AP and I go to them for background info on issues not covered on my usual sources. This article has been on their site since before Christmas and every time I see it, it bores another hole through me. Brought to you by the very news sources that declared milk caused cancer as does water and don't use metal, or plastic, or wood cooking implements... omg make these people stop. And yes, Me and my dogs and most of my family rode in the bed of pickup trucks down dirty dusty gravel roads, never wore helmets or knee pads or helmets playing baseball. Seatbelts, no way.
Not one mention of indoor air humidity dropping and that possibly causing respiratory irritation. Without reading any of her other articles, Id guess the author has an agenda of some sorts.
I would venture to say anything "traditional" gets em worked up. They'd probably tell ya a fake plastic tree is better for you than a real tree cause "clean air is fragrance free".
Right, because they can't have the inconvenience of having to look at stacked/ piles of wood that are drying to get to the point of being able to use it. Such a BS attitude. I don't get it.
Lot more likely to trash something given to you, right? I know some people like that too. Just as soon others bail them out of a pinch.
