My wife lost our Marriage license. I carry my wedding ring on my keychain. Its tungsten and I hardly ever wear it.
Only reason we knew it was missing is cause it was right after we got married and we needed it for something. I think she actually threw it away. I think she know where the new one is. Come to think of it I think we got 2 of them the second time.
Albion River Inn http://www.albionriverinn.com/Weddings.php It's beautiful there. My wife is from nor cal.
Glad you found your ring, WW! We just went through a nightmare with my wife's engagement ring.......two of the prongs holding the marquise diamond were broke off, diamond was loose. She took it to a "reputable" jeweler in the area to be repaired. Long story short, she went to pick up the ring and it was literally HALF THE SIZE it used to be.......they removed so much material it was unrecognizable! Must've been a rookie that repaired it, she was DEVASTATED!! I had to go there and nearly raise HELL, they replaced the band to look exactly like the original but the sentimental factor is nill....... They also gave her the destroyed band. I'm hoping to be able to have something made from that band for her for our anniversary in Oct.
Ummm... I'm no diamond mechanic... but, do you have any idea why the stone itself had to be re-sized at all? If they couldn't repair the support prongs on the original ring, to hold the entire stone... wonder why they didn't get you guys in there to decide on a new ring that would hold the entire stone. You're right. Had to be a newbee. Sorry for the hassle Scotty and your honey's disappointment... (I can imagine you walkin' in there with a screamin saw... )
Didn't they know she is Mrs Scotty Overkill...How dare they!! Sorry for the loss Bro, that really sucks!
I used to get my set inspected every 6 months for warranty. My reputable jeweler suggested to send it out to have prongs tightened. It was returned with hollow prongs, he stole gold from it! I barely bumped the garage, prong collapsed, diamond into the gravel, never found it Thankfully the jeweler fixed it for me, replaced the diamond, and fired the guy it was sent to for repairs.
Great picture...Still don't see it being enough gold to amount to anything. I guess if he did it to all the rings he sent out it would add up!!
PS, that would be hubbys infamous 3rd wedding band from losing the first two working on trucks Edit, I'll give him credit, this one has lasted atleast 15 years LOL.
