    Pine is actually my preferred wood now after last year, it's so readily available, easy fast and fun to cut and split, fast to dry, and lots of the type we have here is almost entirely sapless!

    That's how it is here in SE Wisconsin too. You'll rarely find wood at the local dumps, depending on the municipality. For example, our town recycling center will take leaves, but no woody brush or wood at all. There town next to us allows brush and wood, but I can't go there as I don't live there.

    I can't complain. I have my own woods, and my buddy's 24 acres of woods to cut from. Now that we've got a 4 wheeler we can get the stuff wayyy back in his 24 acres.

    We burn a lot of red pineup north at the cottage. It's easy to get because the locals up north don't like to burn pine. They are ignorant about it for the most part. Chimney fires. :loco: :crazy::rofl: :lol::rofl: :lol:
