Yeah it's poking his head out of there
Comes fully assembled for your convenience, well, if you don't know how to put a bar and chain on it you should not be buying it

Threw the chain a few times? I would use the saw and see if it keeps throwing the chain. The Poulan I brought kept throwing the chain and the chain tension was correct each time; reviews of the saw had lots of people saying the saw kept throwing the chain so it was a flaw with the Poulan. Hopefully your saw is not the same and it was just user error.

Must be a flaw. There a good many guys here with that Poulan Pro that don't throw chains.

Not sing it's your problem but many people that don't know anything g about a saw throw chains. And many people who know nothing about saws are attre.acted to cheap saws. The reason they throw chains is that they don't tighten the chain wheen needed.

Notice I said this may not be The reason your saw acts up or the problem with your saw.

Years ago, before I even had a reason to burn wood (read=I didn't have a stove and lived in an apt) I owned a box store poulan.... The few times it threw the chain for me was because I wasn't holding the bar "up" upon tightening..... Few cuts in, slack, sling, start over!

She purrs like a kitten and cuts like a hot knife! I run my saws hard and I haven't thrown one yet. This 400 is a sweet little saw!

My guess is the purchaser pinched the old bar. It was considered a recon saw and all they did was throw a bar and chain on pretty sweet deal if I do say so!!
