They have been sitting there long enough that they might have turned into rocks. They were put in place in the 70s. I didn't get to see the equipment used to move them but it must have been impressive.
if you want to start turning i have a nova lathe and two bed extensions new in the box ,have not set it up in 9 years so i likely wont ,ny is not to far
