For Sale - Stihl 017

This is a running Stihl 017, it is in good shape cosmetically with no broken or missing plastic. The only issue is the the handle has been repaired below the saw as shown in the picture. Asking $90 plus shipping from 40509.

 

Was the handle just replaced? Couldn't make out any repairs in the pics.

 

The handle is cracked under the saw And repaired. I will post a picture tonight.

 

I'm still a couple weeks out on a saw purchase, but this is a very interesting deal.

 

Here is a picture of the repair, it is not pretty but it is tight. If I had a spare handlebar I would have replaced it.

 

Just pulled the muffler and here is a picture of the piston.

 

I just learned that ms170s are $399 in australia so anything is a good deal compared to there !!

 

Back to the front page, I need this out of the way (and the funds to replenish the account after buying another twin cylinder).

No baby has been interested cause its only like $50 less than a new one with warranty.

Oh I agree. I can't seethe pics on mobile but I'm sure its fine and will last a long time. Just pointing out why it probably not sold. Shipping alone will cost $20.

Sounds good. I almost made a deal on an 029 this weekend but the guy flaked out. Was gonna trade a trolling motor for it
