Finally a bunch of daffodils and narcissus are out in force in the roadside garden. People traveling down the street get a bright preview to draw their attention The phlox by the driveway are giving a surprise performance. Usually they don't bloom until a bit later in the season.
Although the backyard is mostly trees and wild things, there are a couple of groups of daffodils. I didn't plant any of them and I don't think any were there when I moved here (I don't have any pictures of daffodils until 2016). Those white ones are a more simple type/form, but they are amazing spreaders. This is the 3rd spring they have shown up and they have gone from 1 clump to 5 clumps - some as much as 10' away from the original.
I have a few things popping aside from my garlic, rhubarb, and asparagus Lupine and chive side by side Marsh Marigold (AKA Cowslip )
