I love roses but they don't do well for me. My last surviving rose has only the amount of leaves you see and 2 teeny, tiny roses that smell awesome. That plant used to throw out good size blooms but I am not even sure this cane isn't coming off the root stock.

This is just a different angle for the flower immediately above this picture

Rose Campion that will produce flowers next year (they self sow willy nilly and they are not supposed to be there, but I'm leaving them.

Rose Campion plants that aren't supposed to be outside the landscape timber, nor over on where they are at. The parent plants (which have died - I think they have 2 year lives), were about 7 feet to the left, and inside the timber. There are actually 3 plants snugged to the outside of the timber, and I am able to avoid them while mowing

Our other hybrid/custom day lily “Buttered Popcorn” bursting bright, with many blooms on their way...

The tallest are about 30”+ high, but not easily seen from this angle.

Butter Popcorn really seems to fit for a name.

My roadside garden - still in progress. I added the tall phlox (Nicky) in back last night. the flowers in front are Gaura - Beleza Dark Pink. the Most likely won't overwinter but they are pretty and I can replace them next year easily since they are in the front. The Autumn Fire Sedum (very front of the side picture) will bloom later, but the 3 peonies won't bloom until next year or the year after (assuming they survive the road salt).

The left portion of the roadside garden hasn't been planted yet as I'm scouring places for just the right small shrub to offset the laceleaf maple's burgundy leaves. Since it right next to the utility poe (you can see the guy wire on the left) I need something that doesn't grow to big, but has a noticeable presence.

The potted shrub, to the right and way back by the tent garage is a variegated willow that is going elsewhere.

Looks good! I love marigolds, they are so cheery. Wow, the size of those tomato plants is amazing.

And some more....Herbs are on the deck, Cilantro, Dill, Parsly, Basil, Rosemary, as well as the Jalepenos. We replant herbs every two months for a steady supply. Last years Cherry Tomatoes were 6" taller than me. I'm 6' 1". The Rabbits have just eaten all the Green Bean plants in the garden.

BB, you and Barb have so much more in common to talk about. She a seed saver, and grows so many flowers and veggies from them. Now she is wanting to get back to Well Seasoned 's to grab some Lupine he offered, to plant here at home. She has a some Lupines in her Camp bed that she transplanted a few years back.

Swing on by when your up. The pods are perfect for picking. Can probably fill up a grocery store bag full. There was another plant she wanted as well.
