I love the walmart pocket T. Only like $4-5 and heavy duty and dont shrink much. A good T shirt. Not flannel. Hey big Barf we were 36 sunday mourning I know you had to be as well where you were. Felt like winter! My busy down in charleston text Ed me saturday night with his gas logs on and was serious. He asked if my stove was on? I said NO its still 70 in the house. I looked at my weather app and it was 64 down there at the time
Eh, when consumerism leads people to trample one another or fight with one another at shopping centers so that they can save a few bucks on the latest electronic gadget, a phenomena which is actually quite commonplace, then yes, there is most certainly something wrong with consumerism in it's present form in this country. Consumerism and our ridiculous entertainment culture have run amok and severely dumbed down the general public. Consumerism it seems has become the main vehicle through which we're supposed to obtain happiness in life; relationships with friends and family be dammed. Critical and independent thinking are a rare thing these days. The advertisers and media outlets in this nation have successfully managed to pull off a completely non-invasive frontal lobotomy on roughly three quarters of the American public. Yay all consuming consumerism! It bothers you that people judge each other's views? That's life. Everyone does it every day. Absolutely nothing wrong with it. What bothers me is being told that I cannot express my opinion on any other individual's behavior, regardless of idiotic or egregious that behavior may be.
Yep and yep. I think I have few Eddie Bauer work shirts that my wife bought be, but I think of them as more of the outdoor image than really outdoors like Bean, EMS or REI (plus the latter 3 do a lotmore than just clothing). I much prefer REI over EMS. Speaking of flannel, my wife has been after me to get some flannel chits shirts for fall outdoor work - she pointed out some nice lined ones at Bean
There aren't any REI stores in NH. The closest one is in Reading and I haven't been there in years but I remember them being a better value than EMS. I would never buy anything at EMS. They are extremely overpriced and there's not a single item they carry that one can't find a better quality replacement for at a lower price somewhere else. They are like the Shaws of the outdoor recreation world in New England.
You suggest that there is no fault in the general population and it is a conspiracy of the media advertisers and media outlets. Please spare me the tin hat routine. The only thing the American Public gets is exactly what they deserve, because they asked for it. You suggest that you believe society is going to hell in a hand basket because someone else(shadowy powers trying to make money) is manipulating society, yet you suggest that you know better? I am not saying you dont have the right to say that, but you are not being very consistent. You are saying "the people in charge are wrong, and power shouldn't reside in the hands of so few, but I know better and we should do what I say" Pot meet Kettle
Yeah, the flannel shirts that are less expensive sure don't fare well with the dryer! When buying a flannel, have you ever checked to see if the pattern is printed on the shirt? This would show a lesser quality whereas a better quality flannel has the same appearance on the inside.
Yep, Saturday night and Sunday morning dipped to the 40s here in central GA. Supposed to hit 90 today though. Mother Nature is fickle huh
My girlfriend got me on of Beans fleece lined flannels and it's been great. Had it a year or so and it hasn't come apart or shrunk. Fleece is still soft. I'd recommend their shirts for sure
Were supposed to be 89 as well today. Saturday night was boarder line needing to build a short kindeling fire. Not for me but for my infant son. We just used the heat pump for ease....I hate it but I do it. A few years ago I would of never thought of it...but with my young son I do many things I use to never do!!))
Just go on line my friend, they have a lot more there to choose from: http://www.walmart.com/search/?query=tall mans flannel shirt
They have the logo on the back of the shirt up by the neck. Bragg status for being elite. (AKA stupid)
I have faded glory jeans from 15 years ago, they shrank shamelessly. I now have two pair faded glory jean shorts that have not shrunk at all even with hot water or hot dryer. It seems the quality of jeans anyway has improved over the years. Also I find alot of items seem to run larger than they used to. Maybe its just the womens clothing, not sure.
Inconsistent: liking second hand clothes and buying top of the line dog kibble... jharkin , shrunk husband shirts are always wives favorites!! Comfy!
