I know I'm nitpicking here. Does anyone know the return policy on jacked up points? Has anyone dealt with this before? It's an X27. 1st pic is a nail. 2nd is barbed wire.

    Please advise. Thank you FHC!

    Jacked up points?
Just dress the edge with a file and get back to splitting...a new one will look the same in a few days too. :axe:

Mine looks the same way, clean it up with a file, and get after it again.

ditto, mine looks the same, hit it with a file and move on. It doesn't affect splitting.

I agree it's not. Just wondering what everyone's take is. As for warranty claims. I hope they are all unintentional. Burn on.

Mine looks way worse than that and splits just fine. I really need to file it good, but when it’s work well no big deal. No warranty issue when you hit stuff you shouldn’t.

Mine looks the same as well. I dont try filing the nicks out as it happens too often and too much filing. Just enough to put somewhat of an edge on it. I did get a new one after it broke back in March as unclefess said. see thread Broken F iskars!

Yeah, a couple nicks is kinda normal/usual. As long as the majority of the leading edge is good I wouldn't even try to file them out. They're NBFD.
Now when you've got 20 nail gouges it's probably/might be time to hit the grinder and remove some metal.
The first cut is the deepest.

You know after reading this, i was so pumped i went out and mashed the big Fiskers 8lb Isocore splitter into a nice round of red fur. I realized you don't have to put your ''every thing '' into it, just let the weight of that 8 pounder destroy the block of wood. The pure momentum is more than enough to split about any wood, although there are some exceptions to the rule, lol Now i'm wondering if i really need the 27'' splitter to go with my 36'' splitter?

Sharpen it! It's regular maintenance. If they have to send you a new one every time you dull yours, they'll go broke.
