was working on the white oak from my recent score late this afternoon when my Fiskars broke. I had noticed some hairline cracks in the plastic around the head and it was a tad "wobbly". Good thing i recently put a handle on my Collins axe and had it with me. Is this under warranty? Will they replace it? IMG_4188.JPG IMG_4190.JPG IMG_4189.JPG
Guess i shouldnt have had that second bowl of Wheaties this morning.

I do believe that they will replace it.

Don't have one of their mauls yet, but I boogered up my lopper blade and they sent a replacement no questions asked.

Folks say great things about their return policy and warranty.

    Pass the Wheaties...

Your handle once had a sticker on it saying lifetime warranty. They will replace it.

I broke mine too. They were fantastic about replacing it. I went to their website. Found the warranty claim section. I filled out a form and attached a photo (required) . Within two weeks a brand new ax was delivered to my door no questions asked. Didn’t even need to send in the broken one. I was very pleased.

I wonder how many of the broken ones get passed around for others to get a free one.

I think that’s why they want a good photo. But I hope people don’t start doing that because they have a great warranty, replacement policy and customer service. I would hate to see people take advantage of that and abuse it. They would probably become more stringent and it would only screw it up for everyone else.

Fiskars are great standing behind their products.

I have an orchard and they warrantied the jaw of a 36" bypass lopper when the edge rolled over. I cut a dead limb, (note to self, never cut dead wood with a looper) and wrecked it. They sent me a new one no problem.

BTW, In one day I probably put more time a lopper than most would in a year.

Nice. Send in your pics and get a new one. Clean up that metal and put it back together with JB Weld. You’ll have two :)

May those people get splinters in their hands and their wood never fully dries.

Bought some fiskar hedge trimmers here. 99 sprung the blades by twisting and mis-using them. Home depot still honored the warranty and handed over a new pair! I did tell them just how it happened and still, no problem. Very nice.

My axe sharpener broke, sent pic and new one in the mail. Still don’t really like the sharpener (not very heavy duty) but for $10 bucks no big deal. Sometimes I wonder how they make money? The sell great products for reasonable prices (don’t tell Fiskars but I pay more) and honor warranty with no hassle!

So that's what they look like inside  o_O Well I guess with the warranty replacement and not being required to return the damaged goods you now have a free wedge and maybe you can craft that handle into a pickeroon?

I often wondered myself what they looked like. I was expecting it to have a hollow eye socket and the plastic going all the way through. The head will make a nice wedge, even though i dont sledge and wedge that often. Ill save handle of course.

Which one would you use? I was just going to save the head and use as a wedge.
