I was killing time Monday evening reading articles about this maul, I’ve had the splitting ax a couple of years and love it.
I ran across an ad by a place called Samitrend, selling the thing for $28 plus free shipping. I had to re read a few times as that seemed crazy cheap. in case anyone is interested, It is legitimate and I just got mine dropped of by a not-so-excited mail lady. If the rain will stop long enough for me to get back to cutting, I’ll be giving her a try.

Good deal there! I like mine. Busted an old cheapo and this was the replacement.

If any one is wondering if it works well.
After I got done with work and done with the animals at home I worked on trying to get the last of my rounds split up so I have room to cut more. Only got 5 left ( plus 2 I gave up on for now) .

    Sled load by the boiler.

    KIMG0055.JPG
    Somemore split by pile.

    KIMG0056.JPG
Few left for the isocore tommorow.

Over all I would say it's well worth the price.

That’s a great price! I can attest to the awesomeness of the thing. Had mine a couple years now. Sometimes breaking away from the hydraulics and throwing the maul around just makes life better!

Thats a great deal for one. Got mine cheap at Tractor Supply when i wasnt even looking for one back in October. It was mispriced at $32 and they had to honor it. Went in for bar oil and came out with it and the Isocore. $50 for all if i remember correctly. IMG_1105.JPG Wish id got one sooner. You're gonna love it lumberjohn :axe:

I just ordered one from the site you recommended! Thanks for the tip lumberjohn . With all the hype on this maul I have been looking for an excuse to add it to the arsenal! At almost most half the price of amazon or Lowe’s.... I couldn’t pass it up! Nice to have one in the truck and the shed I guess. I’m thinking this will be all around better than my old hardware store special maul and with the 8 lb head and 36in handle it will definitely pack more punch that my Gransfors Bruk maul. I love the Gransfors but I don’t like to beat on it too much as I plan to pass it on to my sons one day.

You got a heck of a deal on that fiskars, they never come on sale around here. I like mine so much i've started splitting most of my wood by hand and i've been using my hydraulic splitter a lot less.

That is a deal! I think I paid a little less than $50. I am half tempted to order a second one, but what for?

Received an email from Nguyen Tan Sy ( not sure what that means) that I am being refunded the $28 from PayPal.
I did not order through our pay pal account but with my credit card
I had an issue paying with my credit card and had to use my wife’s MasterCard last night to make the purchase.
It had confirmed that my order was being processed and I would receive an email confirmation.
I am going to see if I can contact them today about my order.

Awesome deal! I swung mine more than I have in a long time last weekend. The pleasure was ruined by trying out Midwinter 's beautiful Helko maul though.

I just got the same exact email saying "per your request your order was cancelled and you will be refunded". Something weird going on....? Maybe they didn't have any in stock and couldn't fulfill our orders.... I used PayPal for my order. Let me know what you find out, and I'll do the same.
