Thought you all would enjoy this, especially Coaly & WeldrDave. There are 2 of these in our local mcdonalds
Is that an XL????? "May I take your order?" "Yes please, I'd like a #3 meal, medium sized, the Fisher stove out in the dining area, a McFlurry, some chicken nuggets, oh and a large coke" Looks mint!
They are mint and look sooo cool! You'll even get out to a warming hut in the middle of nowhere and sure enough, a Fisher.
Let me guess: Gorham, New Hampshire? We used to have one at our local McDonald's in Belfast, Maine as well, and they used it, but then they tore that McDonald's down and put in a trendy McCafe. It was utterly stupid. The area around the wood stove took up some room, but the new style is trendy, but has a lot less seating space and is crowded. Go in during tourist season and you barely have room to stand while your order is being put together. Having (4) daughters, and one being 4 years old, we gravitate to the old style McDonald's that still have the play places. It still angers me that Gorham, New Hampshire removed theirs, but their facility is quite big at least.
We have a house just outside of Littleton, NH so we travel through that area a lot. Our primary residence is in Maine, but have another house (we own 3) there as well. New Hampshire is nice; Live Free or Die...except in terms of property taxes. YIKES!
We'll have to shake hands sometime. I work just south of Littleton. Yea- taxes steep in spots- but nothing compared to PA. Ours ain't to bad.
We will be driving through Whitefield on Monday and Tuesday, but it seems we never have a time to stop. I have a good friend who lives in Twin Mountain and about all I have time for is a to honk as I go by. :-(
No thanks! I don't know how you northern guys stand it. You work your fingers to the bloody bone and your states break it off in your asses with taxes.
The further you get in the woods, the less the tax. We have some areas that have no organized towns. Generally, their taxes are less.
