Had a supervisor say that bad welders make good grinders

Looks good... I may not be the best welder... But I'm pretty handy with a grinder... Its even better with the battery grinder from Dewalt... I haven't had too many welds break... The main thing is getting a good penetration.

mig welded it. It isn’t pretty at all but has held up great. Grinder and rattle can are my two best welding tools.

I've had the privilege(?) Of working on cars for 20 years and seen some rather interesting welding done by amateurs and "professionals"
My welding skills to be honest are adequate, it comes down to pride in workmanship as with anything
If that means grinding down some uglies and going over it again makes all the difference
Best way to get good at it is to keep trying

Keep up the projects!! Can give inspiration to us all!

Looks good! Cool project, I need to get a bike.

Not being negative but the welds look as if you may have been either on a lower voltage then optimal or a tad slow on the movement.

I love welding, I find any excuse to weld if I'm not working or gathering wood.
