It will probably take some paint off...but HT paint is easy to touch up...just have to get a match, or paint it all ..

a little wd-40 has always worked good for me on removing sticker glue from stuff, spray some on a rag and wipe it with that to prevent runs

Had my first morning re-load on hot coals. Stirred up the ember chunks with 4 pieces of kindling, turned the air to high for 5 minutes. Got some coffee and packed in 5 pieces of dry 3 year old white oak. Taking off nicely right now. I’ll be turning the air down to 2/3 in just a second.[IMG]

Hard to capture while lying on my stomach. This is the best I can get. I feel like I’m polluting the thread with the same old pics

Sure looks like its working well. Have you completely loaded it yet? Keeping the place plenty warm apparently!

Not yet, not packed up full. I think 5 splits has been the most so far.

Even with just that, these stoves seem to ride the coals for a long time, putting out decent heat.

That's for sure. I've had "enough coals" every morning to stir it up and drop a bit of small kindling to ignite. So far, we are really loving the T5. I think I was overly optimistic with the burn times, but we are still figuring it out.

They say the PEs burn long for a non-cat, but we've never loaded hers full to see how long it will really go..

We’ve ran it vigorously with 4 splits many times, and gotten 5 hours out of a load

Really had some time lately to get to know the stove. Got laid off Thursday at 2pm. We can average good lively flames for about 6-7 hours if I pack it with 6-7 medium-ish splits. 10 yr old daughter asked if “all nice stoves burn one log per hour” hahaha. Season is winding down here in MN. Any day now, will be the last fire of the season

Pretty much the mindset we have adopted. We are on the gas budget anyways. I still have a bunch in the garage, but the splits are looking pretty long (perfect for the fireplace upstairs)
