I have an older American made Mtd 21 ton splitter. I got a smokin deal on when builders square went under. 350 otd brand new floor model. I didnt even burn wood back then! :emb: It has split everything I have thrown at it. My Da always said if you can't get it split with a 20-22 ton splitter you probably shouldn't be trying to split it. I have not used the ariens/gravely machines, but I have a gravely zero turn mower it's a stout well built machine. I have looked the ariens splitters over and like the layout and build quality. If American made is important to you I'd give the Ariens or any other usa made machine in your price range a hard look.:usa:

That mtd 21 ton is probably the same one my parents bought new years ago. It's never missed a beat, probably like idk 12 years? It looks like Dennis's mtd.

ive never owned any 47 DHT's...

I had several 37 ton forest king splitters though..
    We have 6 left.

1 of them has over 1000 hours of use already.
4 of them are still in the crates.

I think Bren was saying he thought you had like "47" of them units (an obtuse exaggeration, a la Eric VW); I woulda said "like 50" of them, that were 37 ton shplittahs.

Either way, you picked up a bunch at Black Friday '15.... And ya seemed to real good moving most of that hoard.:)

Make sure the one you choose is comfortable, some the tires are to far back

I'm pretty sure that Speeco makes the splitters for TSC; I've never heard anything bad about either brand.

They made the Husky line for TSC. I'm pretty sure the County Line splitters are the same thing, just another name but somebody else could say for sure.
