    Welcome zmc. Looking good there. I think that you will find that your shorts and cookies will season really fast as there is less distance for the water to travel to get to the surface of the wood. If you have them off the ground with lots of sun and no rain hitting them they should be good to go this year.

    Lots of fires to start. Ah ha! Please allow me to introduce you to Super Cedars. We have a really nice guy (NH_fuels I believe he goes by) who makes the Super Cedars and they are super great. One Super Cedar is good for 4-6 fire starts. They are economical but Thomas will even give you a discount because you are a member here. In addition, just for asking, he will send you a couple samples so you can see how good they are.
