damm near died the other day. Didn’t think it was all that hot out but my body did.
Getting used to the heat a little. Worked from 7-12 this morning. Started with the buzzsaw cutting up some long stuff. Then I took it a little easy and cleaned up my yard/ welding area a little. Still had the two snowplows sitting out there LOL
Nice siesta and went back out at 5 and bucked some logs for a couple hours.
I don’t have to do it but I’m way too good at doing nothing ;)

Great saying metalcuttr . Sounds like something my grandfather would have said. I wish I wrote down more of his “one liners” I have the worst memory for that.

When it comes time for summer vacation. I always tell my wife I can only head north. For me it’s not vacation unless I can escape the south jersey heat and humidity. Planning on hitting Block Island for a weekend and the Adirondacks for a week this summer. I like a summer night cool enough to enjoy a campfire !!!! The ADK region is truley a gem of the northeast.

Watch the dewpoint rather than humdity. Once it gets over 60 it is uncomfortable. Over 70 is Godawful.

In MI most folks also head north on weekends and Holidays or vacations. Roads going north get packed on Fridays and Saturdays then Sunday afternoons are, well, they are best to stay off of. Even county roads get packed because of the heavy traffic on the big highways.

As for the skeeters, it blows my mind seeing all the folks who are bothered by skeeters. They are bad in MI too but as for me and my house, we use Thermacells. That keeps the skeeters at bay. Doesn't kill them but keeps them away from you.

For sure when it gets that high, I could hardly move. When it gets over 65 I usually stay in the air conditioning if at all possible.

You are most correct about the dew point. Relative humidity measures how much water vapor the air is holding compared to what it COULD hold at that temperature. As the temperature rises, relative humidity will drop as warmer air can hold more water vapor. This is why it’s almost always more humid first thing in the morning .

I still have about 1/3 a cord of locust in the Bronco that needs to be pulled out and stacked. Gonna try and squeeze that in between rain showers this morning.

I moved 3 trailer loads of oak this morning. Skeeters were not bad nor was the temperature although a bit sticky. Decided to call it quits after 3 loads.

Wife and I definitely worked up a sweat getting the wood put away this morning. She thought it was a good idea to go for a run before it. Better her than me
