The Judge is a nice looker, but it needs a longer barrel. (longer barrel = better accuracy) Like my little FireFly. (Ruger Super Redhawk with 9.5" barrel 44mag) A shorter barrel might be better for close quarter shooting where accuracy isn't a necessity though.

Sure, why not, just watch out for those low flying trees!

Farwood as far as the eye can see. The picture was taken with one of my UAV's with FPV earlier in the fall of 2015.

That's a nice revolver. For a 357 it does get the job done without breaking your wrists or the bank purchasing ammunition for it. When your comfortable shooting what you have, it makes all the difference in the world. I've had my little FireFly since about 1990. Maybe before, maybe a little after, but in that general area.

Dear Husband has something that resembles that. It knocks me on my behind when I have shot it.

Have your husband teach you the proper stance and how to hold it. Then when you get ready to pull the trigger, breath out. It helps break the automatic drop or flinch in anticipation of the recoil enabling you to hit your target.

holding your breath is a big no-no
waiting for the big bang is always going to startle you
squeeze slow and allow the firearm to raise as it fires.

    great info, Star Gazer!

I am expecting a new stove at the end of the month and I am trying to get ready for the first fire.

This thread is very confusing and is making me nervous that I am going to forget something or worse, simply won't be able to source it in time.

So far I have the stove, seasoned wood and a good drafting chimney covered. Thermometers are covered as are the .45, .357, and AR as well as fuel injected and carbureted engines. Lard fried potato chips won't be a problem to get in time.

The garden has me worried, as it is way to early in the year to start one around here, and where the f%#* am I going to find a wet moose?

Suburban/rural border, but I am in the Rochester NY area, so no moose anywhere near here. Are white tails a suitable substitute?

Oh, is that how it is...a few Utz's are good for an "oil change"?
Kinda like the monthly fish fry fundraiser dinner that the local fish n game club has...it'll "flush you out"

Easy now big fella, step back and take a deep breath...
all you need is a green house and some pumps for the hydroponics
and a net for catching the moose. But be careful, moose are catch and release only in some divisions:whistle:
