I just noticed you were from Canton. What ever happened to that goofball who threatened to shoot the concealed carrier after the guy'd already handed him his license?

Nice stove. I have an ancient, but extremely clean 2700 buck. I think it holds about a cord of wood per loading!! Powerful fan and plenty of heat output. We usually sleep with the windows slightly cracked.

Very good note Stuck, only comment I'm curious about is the blower on your stove shutting off. Mine won't shut off until it is fairly well cooled down so maybe it's just yours. I believe there is a part available that controls that but if you are happy with the set up you are using, may not want to mess with it.

I guess I have more of an issue with it cycling on and off as the stove cools down. It's annoying to listen to it for 30 minutes or so if I happen to be awake. I leave the blower on high when I'm running it since it draws 200 watts regardless of the setting on the rheostat... Since I leave it on high, it dissipates heat faster from the slowly cooling stove and the temp switch cycles the blower on and off as a result.. It might be better if they would tie the variable speed of the blower into the stove temperature so as the stove cools, the blower slows down.. Not sure what kind of re-engineering that would require.. Like you said though, I'm happy with my setup as is, so not going to change anything..

I have a Buck 81 free-standing. I have to be very careful not to get it too wound up, it will run you out of the house. I had to shim the air-control slider to be able to throttle it down enough for overnight burns. The arrow indicates the shim, made from a piece of hacksaw blade.

The blower produces a lot of heat, even at the lowest speed, but it is quite noisy. I've found the ash clean-out tray to be too small to be useful.
