Well after about an 8 month build I finally finished my new toy. First ever build and AR, think it turned out well. Has an upgraded trigger and a fairly decent sight, chambered in .223 wylde and with an empty mag comes in around 8.8lbs. Took it out to sight in the other day and almost have it dialed in to where I want. Shot maybe 60 rounds and didn't have any issues. Thinking of adding some red take down pins and red safety selector just for kicks, probably will upgrade the grip at some point as well.
Congratulations, looks great! What scope and trigger is that? A certain politicized event a few years back induced me to order more stripped lowers I lucked out and managed to get sequential serial numbers. Which meant I had to order more because I wanted to keep the sequential lowers for something special. Over in the chainsaw and power tools section there is a discussion about a build party for both ar15's and Sthil 660's how much more fun could a guy have?
