Sometimes I do kind of miss running equipment, but that was a hard way to make a living in the winter.

The pulling power and traction of that Case must be incredible.

I know a guy that's pulling a 40' cultivator with one. If I remember right he goes around 10mph. I forgot how many acers an hour that'll be but it's a lot.

That's only a 370 horse model, but yes, the traction is good. But most important of all, is very little soil compaction.
    Down side?
    Them tracks is expensive!!

The 600hp model with a 45ft turbo till can cover 40 acres an hour, so I'm guessing similar with the 40' cultivator..

Bingo... Thus the 10mph ground speed.. Could you imagine trying to disc a chisel plowed field at 10mph with the 4450?
Yer guts would be like scrambled eggs at the end of the day..

When I was putting NH3 (anhydrous ammonia) on for a living I was pulling a 19 knife bar, 47.5 ft wide, and a dual 1000 gallon tanks. My JD 9430 was rated at 425 hp. On average I covered an acre a minute, a set of tanks lasted me 40 minutes, it would take me about 20 minutes to bleed down hoses, check the bar and switch tanks... so 40 acres an hour. Best little brother and I did was 2000 acres in a day, big fields, tanks set where we told them to be, and rain coming in... we busted azz that day... God it was fun!

I'm a green tractor guy, buy the Case quad track is the shiz nit! Smooth ride, lots of power to the ground, less fuel usage, and awesome financing.

Wow. I guess if I had to work fields that big, I'd want to pull something as big as a town behind me too.

We burnt on average a gallon an acre.... off road fuel was $3.75... and the co-op only charged $5 per acre for custom application... I sure as heck wasn't making $1.25 an hour... you do the math.

Picked rock with a 4440 way back when. Same setup with the duals off, damm thing always felt like it was going to roll over when a hit a washout area. I was much more productive on a JD 2010 or IH 504. That will be a nice haying tractor though.
