Well I gotta be honest, I was on the verge of tears today myself....... I consider these guys and their families MY OWN FAMILY. And when that happened to Shemane, I was only a few feet away from her. I was gathering billets of wood when I heard her yell, and honestly I was horrified...... That young lady is not only a tough cookie, but an absolute sweetheart. It's horrible that this happened, but the outpouring of support and love she got made me realize just how great a group of people are in our forum and our friends at OPE. I can't get Shemane and Rodney out of my head, we definitely want to do some sort of fundraiser and I'm sure you will all be supportive of those efforts, we're gonna do some brainstorming and figure it all out here. Leadfarmer, you tell that young lady that her whole family has family here in Blair County as well. She will continue to be in mine and my wife's prayers. And The Wood Wolverine, give your lovely wife a hug for me. She is an amazing woman, what she did today was beyond words. Thank God she was there. If there is anything you guys need from me, I'm here.......
I did get some pics to show how great everyone worked together before the incident and I'm sure that Shemane would want us to show the positive things that happened today as well...... A TON of wood was processed from logs to split wood, and she was a big part of that all happening! A panoramic from late morning. Lots of fast saws, great people and great conversation. The aftermath of the day... A mountain of wood processed for Chris's pap. Everyone, please keep Shemane, Rodney and their family in your prayers.....They are wonderful people.
Prayers going out from Huntingdon County. It is never good to hear about things like this especially so close to home. Sorry I was unable to come help but it's nice to know there were some other PA members present to represent the club. Leadfarmer it looks like you raised a tough one there. Tell her to keep her chin up.
You guys ain't going to believe this but I just got back to the house with her prescription medication and she's gone so I call her and she went to work to see if there was anything she could do. See she said she woke up at 7 and wasn't tired anymore. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
Can't make the mullah laying in bed. Seriously though it's refreshing to see someone that bounces right back and keeps going. I work with 900 guys and most of them would go on disability for a hangnail.
That girl is amazing. I'm telling ya, she amazes me! But you need to tell her to take care of those fingies, let them heal. My good buddy here at work lost his pointer finger, and had some tips for her that I want to share with you, I'll text you later.....
Hey Leadfarmer it appears you've raised one tough daughter. Hopes and prayers for a good heal on the fingers. Seems the mental state is spot on. We wish your family all the best during troublesome times.
