Maina hope you mean a face cord inside... Its a Woodstock stove a cord last you a month in January!!

 

That’s the plan man! I do mean a full cord. That’s how we rolled in the past and it works well for us. If the wood is dry enough there’s little bark and no bugs to speak of. We like being able to restock at our leisure and we pick nice days when we’re glad to have the door open for awhile. We always stock right up just before the holidays and we’re pretty much on cruise.

 

I thought the last picture was kinda lame with a half full rack and a closed fridge so here’s an update. Now we’re ready for a fire first thing in the morning. A little pine and some small beech should do the job. And the fridge is stocked with 4 different beers and the wife’s kombucha.

That’s a very nice setup! Nice and tidy and I bet it puts out great heat!

 

Now we’re cranking...small mixed hard/soft wood load. Stove top temperature just hit 450, and draft is set at 1/2, or .5. Flames are rolling constantly.

 

It just keeps getting better!

 

I put 2 splits on the coals yesterday evening a little before 7 and I just had hot coals at 6:30 this morning. Just opened up the draft and bypass and put a couple more splits in. I’ve never seen a stove hold a fire like this. I’m impressed to say the least. Bring on the winter weather!

Yes you did! And I can’t thank you all enough, seriously. This is a major investment for us and thanks in large part to all the great help here at FHC I’m confident I made the right choice.
I don’t want to sound too much like a fan boy but it’s a rare thing to find a company like Woodstock these days. I hope they never change their way of doing business.
Ron told me when I picked up my stove they sell around 1500 stoves a year, all by word of mouth advertising. That’s pretty impressive itself and speaks as well of them as anything I could say. I’m planning to bring my brother to the open house because he got interested when he went to pick up my stove with me. Now he wants one, and both of my daughters are planning for one. None of my neighbors have seen it yet...I guess that’s how it happens.
