Good question Don't know the answer. It's the first time to have so much wood (90% spruce) CSS just for the fire pit. "The norm" was to burn uglies, limbs & local scrounged stuff. Still burn the uglies. The spruce is scrounged wood that would normally be shoulder wood but the 3 year plan with birch made that not necessary. We use the area a lot, now maybe even more. Hoping for it to least 2 years or so.
