Fire ax ?

    Wow Scott nice collection. Is it all Axe's or do you have any cavalry swords or bayonets also?

    No swords or bayonets yet......I DO have one (what I'm almost certain is) pole halberd.......its a smaller one that would have most likely been a used to fight hand to hand or to cut a saddle or bridle loose during combat.......I missed out on a Rev war bayonet a while back.......that was a bummer.....

    I have a couple boxes full of trade axes and tomahawks, though. Some really cool provenance with some of them too. One spike tomahawk (with what I believe to be an original haft) I have dates to the Revolutionary War, was found in an attic in Cherry Valley, NY. Look into that area in history, pretty scary stuff....
