Fire at Linkletter Logging Athens Maine.

3 alarm fire going on now at Linkletter logging. I’m told it’s at the logging facility, NOT the pellet facility (MWP) which is just down the road. Hope everyone is safe.

I saw one picture on social media where it appeared to be a large garage type of building. Hard to tell though.

 

Seeing on Facebook this morning that there was a second 3 alarm fire around midnight this morning at the Pellet Facility....Scot and his family can’t seem to catch a break....

 

Hmmm.....

Fires on consecutive days, at seperate locations. Makes one wonder, who got pizzed off at them.

 

Just got a computer back online. Water got in the power supply of my main system so I'm using the server until I get that replaced. It's a bit overkill for personal use.

The garage was at the forestry and trucking company. It was a 50 year old wooden building that was originally built by my grandfather and father as a saw mill. It was being used as an equipment garage for the last 30 years or more.

At the pellet mill, I suspect fire got into the pellet cooler from a burned out roll in pellet machine #3. I can't be sure, but it's the most likely scenario. That's easy enough to fix but it will take a little while to replace the wires in the nearby cable tray and clean up the water damage.

I was getting ready for a 2 week shut down next week for annual maintenance so it looks like I'll start earlier than planned.
