No Sirs. That saw is absolutely off limits. It's a Mint ported 2171xpw. One of my favorites. It found it's forever home here with me. General rule for me- I dont sale saws that I cant walk into a dealership and buy the exact same model the next day if I have seller's remorse. It's taken me a long time to refine my taste and get my lineup together. My Husq and Jonsereds are Prize Possessions that reflect the Evolution of my Cad.

Hi Mr Bryanr2, Your statement says it all and I respect that. Thanks for responding. I have grown to like these 372xp platform saws because they fit me...... I am a smaller person and I have to choose a certain type of saw. Thanks guys.

I need someone to help me find a nice (minty preferred) 242/246xp. Dont want one from the bay.... rather pick it up from a reputable member.

Just for a hoot, you might want to find a 372/365 XP/XT in need of a top end, put a BBK on it and substitute a Stihl 064 piston, and delete the base gasket. For a few more Rs you can also run a single ring. IME that combo makes a very strong saw that will outrun a stock 372XPW. That is what JChin has, couple cc larger than the XPW 76.4cc BBK vs 74.6cc XPW. You don't need an originanl non-XT case, the XT case works fine, actually may have a slightly larger case volume than the original, but I have never measured it to confirm. However I do know that in order to use an XT jug on a non-XT case you have to relieve the case a bit to clear the cylinder spigot, so to my feeble mind that would slightly increase case volume.

Dexter, there is one drawback to the HVA full wraps on 372s, there is not enough room under the clutch side of the full wrap to get to the rear bar nut unsing a standard scrench, you have to get a special short one or modify a standard one. Not a real biggy but you do have to remember to always have the right one.
