My brother-in-law has loan me his atv/motocycle jack, Craftsman yellow jack. It is a really nice jack; should do the job. Thanks.
Apologies, did not mean to hijack the thread. Women can be carpenters; I worked as a helper once. I know about framing, and headers and such. I meant to ask about the utility room you added on; did you add an inside door to that room?
Cool ,good luck with the job. I don't have a motorcycle anymore but the lift comes in handy for other things , trans , gas tanks , rear end etc
My wife has always been more than capable..she just never really had the chance on a regular basis. She is doing great! As to the access to the utility room, no direct door from the house...but it is literally 3 steps from the back door, and will eventually connect with a little mini deck/landing and maybe even covered for weather protection.
Its hard not to do that when you're this far into your project, you at least wanting to get this finalized is appropriate. Looks great so far and Ive only read this far in the comments so looking forward to more.
Got back from long awaited family reunion in Maine..and back at it. Had a contractor put in electric and plumbing, and am starting on insulation. Georgia Power came out and hooked us up, so the wife dictated that the washer and dryer ARE going in tomorrow (we hate going to the laundromat-and it is a 25 mile round trip). Next will be sheetrock and flooring.
I fully understand the desire for your own washer and dryer. Next you will need an outdoor clothesline.
Got the front upper windows in...and put the cedar shake on...one more bundle should finish the corners. Also stopped by the county fair over the weekend and saw some neat old tractors...and one guy was doing a demo of an automatic band saw...man would I love that to make my own lumber!
