It doesn't grow near me, but I've been to California a lot. I used to live in so-cal and remembered the smell then. My wife is from the Bay area and we got married on the nor-cal coast in 2011. In 2008, my wife and I drove out west, and I took my motorcycle out there and got to ride hwy 1 in nor-cal. The smell of riding my bike through a grove of eucalyptus is something I'll never forget. Probably one of the best smells I'll ever remember. The twisty hwy 1 along the coast in Northern California was nothing short of amazing too.
Cut and split eucalyptus and gum for my adopted Aussie grandparents in Wadoonga, several species smells are all good. leoht can elaborate because it was 20 years ago.
Will do mate, I will probably catch up with him next week as he has been getting ready for a engine rally in town this coming weekend. I have not seen him for a few days. Rally marks mechanical milestone - Ballarat Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
It covered a large area starting at our property line on the west; by where the guys cut a few trees at the spot where our son plans on building. Then it goes back through that area where we cut the big oak. Altogether it goes back 1/2 mile west of our place. From south to north it goes 1/2 mile. So yes, it covers that area where you camped. Several trees were taken just on the west side of the camping area.
A friend from work and myself spent the day on the foothills of Mount Beckworth doing battle with Mother Nature. And she did her best to blow us off the hill, at one stage we were sheltering from the wind and rain under the door to the canopy on my truck, the wind was that fierce that the truck was rocking back and forth. After the rain cleared we kept cutting. Note how the sawdust has blown at a 90 degree angle to the cuts and a long way across the hill at that. Even the big girl had a run today. It was really nice to climb in to the Ute and crank up the heat for the drive home. I probably got about a cord of yellow box eucalyptus, every piece had to be noodled in to 2,3 or 4 pieces before being loaded in to the trailer. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
The fireball is a habit/tradition that I picked up in Michigan. That particular bottle followed me home from LAX. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

G’day HuskyMatt welcome to FHC. Yea he’s a good bloke, He invited me out to his yellow and grey box honey hole and even helped load my trailer as I have an injured foot at the moment. I believe he will make a great FHC member! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
