Looking at those pics is gooder than meditation. Something very relaxing about all that firewood ready to go.
Dave, on that picture, is that an eagle coming in I see? Also on those long stacks outside, I keep thinking with all the wind you have it surely would be nice to line the driveway to keep drifting snow out.
Good eye Raven The stack runs E/W, wind comes from the N side snow drifts on the upwind side the worst, & not as bad on the South side . Some years it's as high as the stack. 1 year it filled the center, now I cover the center space. Plugged with snow: Burning that wood this year, can see the mold stains that were growing on the wood from being wet. Shows why birch needs to be/stay dry: Over 1/2 the stack was plugged with snow. Drive way mostly don't get drifted except in front of the shop door
