Two-way radios for when the cell phone does not work. Sad, but true about the signal. Yesterday was a really bad day for that. I have a goose call and if she hears that, she knows I'm in trouble. In addition, she takes me out then comes back to get me so she knows where I am.
Stack looks good & bet it feels good to get out & get some exercise !! Good luck hunting. Was no cell service at the spike camp, I just turned the ph off to save the batt. Called & checked in on top of a ridge every couple days. No bridges or roads going West, Was "kinda good" to have a place where we had cell service, but nice to be out & away from all the technology too.
If you can do that much every once in a while, you're doing great. I have to keep reminding myself I'm not 50 anymore. Couple weeks ago, I went out in the woods 2 days straight for just a couple hours each time. I could barely walk for over a week. Guess I overcooked the old knees a bit. Wife asked if I had the phone with me, and I said yep........every time.
Probably won't stack much for a while. Tomorrow starts hunting season. Today while picking up apples, I stepped in a hole with my bad leg. Was using only one crutch at the time. Not good at all... Not sure which is worse, the leg or back. I'll take it easy the rest of the day except might stir up the fire later. Had a short one this morning.
Hard to like that Dennis. Forecast low for tonight jumped up one degree as I was looking at it. 37, until it changes again.
