Exactly what motivated me to build one. It's nice not having to worry about covering and storm proofing the wood. It's in there nice and cozy until i need it. Lookin good jackel! keep the pics coming
Very productive day here at the Smith homestead After work I got the new splitter assembled, and then I started stripping down the last four skids of they're plywood.Man what a chore that was. They are nailed and screwed along every runner.wife and kids came home and we finished pulling all the nails out.We then put up all the sheets on the roof except for 3 pieces that need cut down.So I'm happy now.Just got to put on the last 3 pieces and put down tar paper hopefully later this week.Storms are coming tonight and tomorrow.
Looks great Jackel. I hope you had a chance to get some diagonal bracing on that before it gets hit with wind. My ole sign days are thinkin' thats quite a wind block. (You said storms were coming) Gonna be an awesome woodshed...
Unfortunately I didn't. I had planned too and it got late.We were rushing to put things away and I forgot to go back and put some on.its pretty sheltered and we live low in a valley. So hopefully it will be ok till I get home
Looking good - and building the whole thing from recycled pallets = gooder! Well, look on the bright side - think how sturdy those puppies are going to be for the decking!
I wanted to get you an update on the wood shed.monday got the roof decking finished and tar paper on it.Then my son and I got plywood installed all on the south side. Really looking good.might be putting some wood in it tomorrow after work.
Very nice! That'll be great storage. Wish I had room for a woodshed like that. Mine only holds a cord
Thanks for the good words.I hope to pick up some more wood to finish closing in the ends tonight after work.Get that done and then maybe start getting some wood in there.Ready try out that new log splitter I purchased.
I tell you I was surprised how dry it is inside after all the rain we have been getting the last few days with the north side wide open. I definitely am excited to not have snow covered and frozen tarps this year.
