Welcome aboard! You'll love a wood boiler or at least I do mine. Do I get to start bets on how till you have left the 362 traded in for a 661 to do your limbing. Lol.

    Welcome to FHC D2082!!

The 362 is a great saw! While a ported saw is nice, that 362 stock will cut wood just as well as any.

I try not to show my bias towards ported saws. I cut a lot of wood with a 455 Rancher, before I got my 1st Pro Stihl saw and cut a lot more with that Stihl before I had my first saw ported.. Now, it's almost inevitable to have them ported.

Looking forward to your stories and pics in the future! :)

HA yea now that I've checked out the dictionary on here, I feel a case of "CAD" starting to develop already! I was getting rung up while purchasing that 362 and a fella was telling me I should have bumped to a 441 - bur maybe next time. Or maybe even the 661 you mentioned. I am anxious to get the boiler in, but we are shooting for moving in April so I may not get to fire it up til Fall. They are really growing in popularity around here though.

I really like that 262, what little I've used it so far. I took to a local farmers coop to get it cleaned up and sharpened. It'll be ready to pickup in a few days. Took the Jonsered too.

Welcome aboard D2082! Looks like you're off to a good start. Bonus points for owning 3 different brand saws!

Nice flatbed on that Ford too!

Nothing but warm welcomes here. Congrats on the new house, boiler, and stihl! You are now well on your way to being a firewood addict, like everyone else here. What brand of boiler did you choose, and are you planning on heating your domestic water with it? Smile, spring is right around the corner.

Went with a Hardy H25 boiler. My dealer is my neighbor down the road. Yes, going to be heating the domestic water, as well as the floor in the basement slab. As with the saws/firewood I'm learning about them and am about to jump in head first! Thank goodness Spring is coming, about to get pelted again here in SW VA for the 3rd time in a week!
