I think you're just going through a learning curve....Dex & 343amc will help you get it figured out. All stoves have little "quirks" you have to get used to.

If the hopper lid switch was the culprit this time, get something to sit on it while you fill the hopper.

Another possibility is a bridge in the auger chute if the pellets you're burning are too long. If that happens, no more pellets can feed to the auger.

I'm not sure if the newer furnaces have an 'auger prime' button like mine does. On mine I can press a button to run the auger manually. That would give you the answer pretty quick.

I've never had a pellet bridge happen on my Fahrenheit, but it did happen on my 6041.

Not sure what happened guys, the switch wasn't it, we use 1/3 of the pellets. It's working now...i think it was just being a pos so I would have something to talk about ;)

We are heading to Fon du lac today to pick up the adapter to hook up the cold air return. (I am willing to drive over an hour to purchase from a DIFFERENT dealer.) Hopefully having that hooked up and doing all the stuff Dex recommended when I talked with him last night, we will have a nice warm house soon! :)

Got the new gasket put on the ash pan yesterday, still waiting for it to dry though. Got most of the cold air return hooked up but still waiting for another 90* elbow. It is impossible to find 10" duct work around here. We had to special order it from Menards. Soon this thing better be hotter than h*ll!

Yes Ma'am.. Can you take a small video of the burn? Can be a short one via phone, or YouTube. Just to see how fast the flame is. You may be able to close the damper some.

Thank you to everyone that helped us! I am now warm :)

We have been fighting to keep the new furnace running for more than a couple hours at a time since we got it. I have been getting help from one of the guys at fehrenheit and another person whom I asked way too much of.

We finally got the answer to the problem today.

Friday night we bypassed the hopper switch and it ran straight through the weekend without shutting off. :)

When I contacted fehrenheit again today they told me they will be sending either a longer arm to help with the switch or a whole new switch. :)

I will be so happy to have this thing running good finally!

Glad to hear it's still running :)

No one wants to come home to a cold house everyday.

On a side note...Happy you finally have her up and running:D

Cool. Just read most of this long thread. Sarah, you and your honey sure shouldn't have had to go thru all this with that dealer… that's for sure. Dex's and other's help on here was very helpful, I'm sure. This forum rocks and the mods are a big reason.

Yes everyone was very helpful! And Dex, he just went above and beyond to help get that thing running! I have never met such nice people who were so willing to help someone they never met. I now have a very soft spot for the people of FHC. You all are great and I really mean that!
