Just finished my morning devotion and felt need to post. I am so thankful that I was able to get OWB installed last fall. Have always burned wood but never able to completely depend on it. We are experiencing another polar vortex (used to be called a cold spell) and the house is warm and cozy. Used to lay awake at night listening to furnace run worrying how much propane bill would be. Now we just turn up the thermostat when we want. I am thankful for the financial resources to purchase good tools to cut and process the wood and for having access to good supply of trees to cut. I am also glad that I found this site where I have learned so much about proper preparation of firewood allowing me to burn efficiently and be a responsible neighbor. Feeling blessed!
I'm feelin pretty grateful too these days… especially that my ole bod healed up enough to get back to what I love… enjoying our woods in the winter.
I think all of us can feel blessed, every day above ground is a blessing and to live in the greatest country is a plus.
Very good post Osage.....we have an awesome Heavenly Father that loves to bless his children. Does that mean we won't have difficult times, no way, but we have much to be thankful for.
Amen. I've been on several medical missionary trips to Haiti. Once you've been to a third world nation and spent some time among the people you realize just how blessed we truly are here. Every morning since those trips I've tried to make it a point to consciously thank The Lord every morning for a clean hot shower, a warm comfortable bed, the roof over our head, the food in our pantry, and the greatest blessings, a loving wife and children and the gift of Faith.
