resident just called ready to buy green wood from someone else. He had no wood left and panicking. I changed my price yesterday to $135 from $150 because im calling it a face cord instead of truckload. Ill be giving less wood this way but still making $405 a cord and thats not including the $10- $15 gas charge iv been adding. Also delivering to another guy who cant get dry wood Either. Iv sold lots of wood at $150 but truckloads are definitely more than a third close to half. I feel this new way i can more accurately keep load counts. What do you guys think. Should i do delivery charge or just keep the $10 to $15 dollar charge going for people outside of 20 min.
I say yes. If everything you are doing speaks quality then you should charge as such. Fair is fair.....vehicle wear and tear + your time.
X3... Are you going to include some version of that write up you posted? Article Supporting soft wood burning
Yes, i have to contact them, iv been so busy. I wanted to get permission to print it off and copies. I believe you said i should do that
Yes. Good product (DRY wood) and service. I get $20 for anything over 15 miles. Rarely do i go that far, but state it. Lots of competition here though.
I learned a long time ago if you sell a quality service and you yourself are happy with the price you are charging do not worry about what the competition does you will get a following and a good name and the customers will be back there are always price shoppers but when you have quality stuff it always sells JB
