If they get too scripted, I lose interest as well; it is more fun to watch someone puttering around in their shed; almost like dropping by to visit a friend in his workshop. When they set up studios etc and you think you are watching a PBS programme, nah.
I watch all the above. Joe has two channels now because his first one was hijacked for a few months. I watch Donyboy73 and Steve’s Small Engine Saloon and they do some good chainsaw stuff. Life On Farmland actually tells his viewers to check out Firewood Hoarders. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
Joe lives not too far from me, and his off grid cabin is close to where we used to live, and since then have built our own off grid cabin. He just released his opening weekend deer hunting video. I ran into him at Fleet Farm in the ammo section a few years ago, and we have exchanged notes on ice fishing in our area via email. A good down to earth guy that would get along with folks here for sure. Besides the ones mentioned, I also like The Wild North, Robert Badline, and Bushway. They all cover Canadian trapping, fishing and hunting, along with bush living in the north.
Jesse James Homestead is pretty good too. Another MN guy. Lots of gardening, food preservation, firewood, and chainsaws. His wife does a lot of the gardening and recipes, as well as their goats, chickens, and rabbits.
I like hotsaws 101, he is a wicked good timber Faller alot of his videos are in some darn steep terrain. I agree with above posts about buckin Billy ray, I like him but to long winded. I think he is retired now but shop talk with the chainsaw guy is cool too.
Can't believe I forgot this one but if there's anything worth watching on youtube, Northmen is at the top of that list. And yep, lot's of logging, firewood, log cabins. Makes me want to go home to my Viking heritage. Northmen
I caught Back40’s live feed lastnight, and told him to check us out. He claims to have never heard !!
I am subscribed to Life In Farmland. I like his videos. It is especially cool that he is a member and gave a shout out on one of his videos. It would be nice if he was more active here but I'm sure time is an issue.
Hello Everyone...So I just learned of your forum last night and wanted to stop by and say hello. On the topic of YouTube channels....well, I'm a bit biased towards Back 40 Firewood lol....since that's my channel. Firewood has always been a passion of mine, it's in my blood. Making videos is another hobby. This past summer I combined them together and launched the YouTube channel. It's been a wild and fantastic ride. I truly enjoy & love it. I run a small, small side firewood gig. Mostly dealing with recreational burners, but I also burn myself so am always making wood and building the stockpile. Like I said just wanted to jump on quick before I head out for the WI gun deer hunt and give a quick 'hello'....thanks for allowing my in, appreciate it. Looking forward to getting to know more of you here in the future. Stay safe...have fun....and be cool.
Don't be too hard on Joe's Premium firewood. At least he's trying to stay busy, he's got a couple of other guys that help him off and on as well. By the looks of his pickup , he works pretty hard at cutting/ splitting wood. Bottom line, he's working, and trying to keep his business going. He's a little different in some of his practices, but, he sticks with it. I'll give him some thing for not sitting on his butt taking all the free bee's he can get. Not every one sticks with it like Joe does, at least he's trying.
Absolutely agree with you, i love his attitude and videos i just dont agree with some of his workers safety practices. Joe actually always wears his PPE now. He works hard and has built a good business. Im always defending his truck to other people, he has taken care of that truck very well, it should be in a freakin commercial.
I really enjoy Joe Lesage, he renamed his channel “From steel to wood”. Likes all the same stuff I do. Building stuff, tractors, snow plowing, and firewood. Seems a real genuine guy, someone id hang out with if we lived closer. I also enjoy Andrew Camarata, but he rushes a little to much sometimes.
Yeah I like Hotsaws 101 Top of the morning to yeah boyz & girls! Have a blessed day wherever you are on Gods green earth.
Back 40 Firewood Welcome to the site. Great to see another one from the dairyland here. What part of the state do you call home?
